Family Therapy

Your Home Doesn’t Feel Like Home Anymore

The family is at war with itself.

Constant fighting, closed doors, zero connection.

Dinners don’t happen. Trips aren’t worth the attempt.

Morning to night, everything is an ordeal.

Siblings can’t exchange two words without it turning. Someone always wanting what others have. Someone always shut out.

You Want Your Household to Feel Like It’s Working Together

You want to feel comfortable with each other, spend time together, and genuinely enjoy being around one another.

You want a support system within your own walls. You want to show up for one another without always having to ask.

The desire to know each other, care about what’s happening, celebrate the wins, and be there through the losses is real. It matters.

You want to feel like a team.

You Can Get There

That kind of family isn’t out of reach.

It takes active, intentional work. That work can become habit.

I’ve Spent 9 Years Rebuilding Families Who Were Completely at Odds

My years working with kids in residential care and inpatient hospital settings put family therapy at the center of everything I do.

For over nine years, I’ve worked with families who desperately want connection and have no idea how to get there: families who have hurt each other, shut each other out, caused real damage.

Connection Before Correction

I use Trust-Based Relational Intervention as the foundation.

TBRI is built on a simple truth: you can’t correct your way into closeness.

From there, I help each person identify and meet their own needs so they show up as their best. Then we work on behavior: communication, proximity, the way people move toward or away from each other.

I draw on CBT and DBT for emotion regulation, thought patterns, and accountability.

I’m also trained in the Sanctuary Model, which I use as a framework for building a shared family culture where everyone has a voice and healing happens together.

A Great Family, Not a Perfect One

Nobody achieves the perfect family.

What you achieve is a family with shared goals and shared direction, one that grows and adapts as each person does.

Connection doesn’t mean stagnation. It means everyone has room to develop without losing each other.

What Life Looks Like When It’s Working

Family dinners happen. Everyone supports each other.

The family spends time together and builds memories.

Things run smoothly from day to day, and when they don’t, the family handles it. The family rallies around each other.

Everyone is themselves, fully, inside a strong family unit.
